The Smoking Pole

The Smoking Pole—or ashtray as Josh would call it—was purchased as a kind gesture for all the smokers of the South Center Street apartments, as well as an opportunity to score snipes to harvest the little bit of tobacco for his pipe. It cost him $40 and was adorned in permanent marker instructions for proper usage.

During his eviction, Josh felt underappreciated for providing a smokers pole for the community stating, “I bought an ashtray and this is the thanks I get?”. He would leave it at the apartments as a gift for future residents, though at this point he had spray painted it black and left a note that read:

You want us to

smoke outside,

hear is my
