====== Odd fixations ======

To put it simply, Josh has a lot of...**Odd fixations** that seem to come and go as they wish. Similar to how an individual on the autistic spectrum obtains unusual hyperfixations for a few weeks, Josh will suddenly become extremely obsessed over a topic or concept, only for them to vanish from his life at the same chaotic frequency that they appear. These fixations vary in size, shape, and duration, but make for interesting footnotes in Boglim History.

==== Circles ====

For some reason, Josh really, really likes circles. His most common spell is Circle of Protection, he constantly brings up "The witches' circle, so mote it be", and on one occasion broke out a bizarre trash idol of a circle he had made out of discarded energy drink cans. Perhaps most infamously this would manifest when Josh randomly spat out the phrase "Circle gods" and refused to elaborate further on the matter.

==== Reincarnation ====

Josh believes he is the reincarnation of Ludwig van Beethoven. During [[sagas:The Couch Chris Saga]] Josh would upload a video, disclosing to his audience that Beethoven died within days of his own birth, give or take a few hundred years. To further corroborate this, Josh alleges that when he was little, he listened to the classic Beethoven piece "Fur Elise", and immediately took a liking to it.

==== Ozzy Osbourne ====

Josh loves Ozzy more than he hates [[beliefs:sickos]]. Despite not being very goth, Josh is infatuated with Ozzy Osbourne and claims to be his #1 fan, presumably due to similarities between him and his idol - Alcoholism, long hair, circular glasses, and being a super cool rockstar. Josh has a cardboard standee of Ozzy, a signed copy of his autobiography, a plethora of Black Sabbath T-shirts, and has constantly reaffirmed that he would //never// do anything sick to Ozzy's grandkids. 
It is unknown what will happen when Osbourne eventually passes away, but it doesn't take a genius to assume binge drinking will be involved.

==== Bells(and by extension, clock towers) ====

Goths like cathedrals, and cathedrals have bell towers. Clearly, liking bells is goth as fuck. Josh has collected an assortment of bells over the years which he has sourced from various locations - Chief among them a miniature cowbell he hangs around his neck on occasions, dubbed "Satan's Cow Bell" by some. Additionally during [[sagas:The Couch Chris Saga]], Josh had several bells an acquaintance had dug out of their yard hanging from various pipes going across his ceiling, which he repeatedly instructed Chris to stop shooting at.

Due to their gothic nature, Josh has an extra fixation on clock towers, and they feature heavily in his [[objects:Gothic Clocktower Dream House]] as the name implies. This ties mostly into a set number of objects Josh views as "Goth AF".

==== Numbers ====

Josh has a weird fixation with specific numbers: 3, 4, 69, 420, and of course, 666. While Josh's arrested development likely contributed to the latter of the three, Josh is unusually keen on the number 4 due to it being his clock-in number at [[places:Wendy's]] as well as [[Characters:Alicia Rohde]]'s entrant number in a beauty pageant that she won. As such, Josh believes the number has significant impact in his life. Ironically, four is commonly viewed as an unlucky number in Eastern cultures. 

Josh would state in a video that [[https://youtu.be/hFMyo0xChXk?si=HDEjaXxXcTvnQKfI|"If I die from a heart attack when I'm 34, so be it."]] He reasons that this is a good number as he doesn't want to live to 40, and of course it has 3 and 4 in it. This prediction would become an unfortunate reality on August 22, 2025, when Josh passed away at 34 from an apparent heart attack. 

==== Aliens and the extraterrestrials ====

Josh has a boatload(some might even say a rocket ship) full of theories surrounding aliens and outer space. Unsurprisingly, most of them involve weed. Most notably, Josh once theorized that crop circles were caused by stoned aliens. Josh also believed for an extended period of time that the earth would explode, and occasionally that the Sun would explode.

==== A shortlist of unusual theories Josh has held at one time or another ====

  * Food after being consumed becomes "Ghost food" which ghosts can then consume.
  * There is a planet made entirely of marijuana.
  * Synthetic weed, also known as "Spice" makes your penis smaller.
  * Fish is classified as dairy.
  * Cutting your hair/applying mayonnaise+onions+cloves of garlic to your scalp helps it grow back.
  * Unicorns used to exist.
