The Second Eviction Saga
In late March of 2024, Josh's lease was terminated at the Conquistador Apartments during NAL's infamous second visit. This segment of Josh's life story is characterized by personal disputes, legal issues, and significant community interaction that culminated in his eviction from the Conquistador apartments, a sequence of events that highlights the complexities of internet fame and community dynamics.
The Path to Eviction
The events leading to Josh's eviction began to unfold significantly in March when his then-girlfriend Jessica visited him. Their interactions occasionally escalated to loud arguments, disturbing other residents in the building. On March 23rd, Jessica mishandled the apartment complex’s laundry facilities, leading to operational disruptions in the form of a flooded floor and and overflowing washing machines. In the archived livestream, NAL repeatedly yells and proclaims that the damage is not her fault. It was anecdotally reported that NAL then got into a verbal altercation with Josh's neighbors who were upset about the state of the laundry room, but this cannot be confirmed as it was not recorded on livestream.
These domestic disturbances eventually led to complaints from neighbors, putting Josh on thin ice with the apartment management. Matters escalated on Josh’s birthday when an altercation concerning how to properly cook bratwurst aggravated the already strained situation. The fight occurred during one of NAL's heavily intoxicated livestreams when Josh went to the kitchen to make a food hack. NAL, who initially seemed to be in good spirits, tried to tell Josh which pan he should use to cook with. Josh became irritated and refused to be told how he should cook. NAL's composure rapidly deteriorated as she went to confront Josh in the kitchen, who remained surprisingly calm and collected despite his irritation. For whatever reason she did not mute the livestream but left it on the couch out of view of the incident, so only the audio exists. NAL screamed gutturally, stomped, grunted, and threatened to hit herself during the offscreen domestic altercation. Josh remained calm and somewhat fearful throughout the incident. The argument was loud enough to draw further complaints from neighbors and prompted another visit from the Casper Police Department later that night off-stream.
Later that same night, two trolls called Josh's cell phone to “check on him”. Instead, NAL answered the phone and can be heard still arguing with Josh in the background, albeit not nearly as aggressively as the livestream incident earlier in the night. This call is infamous due to Jessica threatening to “go and buy an $8 machete” seemingly threatening to murder Josh. Josh can also be heard telling Jessica “This is why you have no friends” which prompted her to start raging again.
Eviction Notice
Josh was likely given his eviction notice or termination of his lease in the days preceding or possibly on his birthday on March 26, 2024. During his birthday stream, he was visibly upset and irritated and made vague references to his neighbors reporting him for something. He also remarked how unhappy he was with his birthday. NAL makes an appearance during this stream and there is clearly tension between them both. Josh did not openly admit to being evicted until a later stream.
Post-Eviction, Clint's Basement Arc
After the eviction, Josh temporarily moved back in with his father, Clint Saunders, living in the basement that he started in as he sought new accommodation. This period was marked by a notable decrease in his social media activity as he dealt with the logistics of finding a new living situation and moving out of the Conquistador Apartments. By late May, Josh announced that he had secured a new residence, although he was reticent about the details to avoid further conflicts with his online antagonists.
Impact and Reflection
This episode in Josh's life illustrates the impact that internet fame can have on personal life, particularly when online interactions cross into the physical world. The Eviction Saga not only affected Josh's housing situation but also reflected on the broader dynamics of community interactions, personal boundaries, and the challenges of managing online and offline personas in the age of social media.
