Drink Combos (or Drink Combinations), sometimes referred to by Cobes as “potions”, are perhaps the most prevalent item featured in the Cobraverse, and are Josh's personal specialty even above Food Hacks. Drink combos generally consist of two or more different beverages combined into one. These drinks usually contain some type of alcoholic beverage, but not necessarily. Josh uses a wide range of different beverages to concoct these drink combinations, usually involving soda, energy drinks, and beer or Liquor. The range of ingredients includes but is not limited to soda, energy drinks such as monster or red bull, hard liquor and spirits, wine, liqueurs, various beers and wine coolers, fruit juice, and occasionally his own homemade Mead. Cobra will often dub these drink combinations with some variation of “Cobra's X” the latter variable often being dictated by the color, taste, ingredients, or appearance of the concoction. An example of this naming system is a drink combo such as “Peanut Butter Cobra”, a drink consisting of Bird Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey and a soda of choice.

Unlike many cocktails that are shaken, stirred, or blended with ice, rarely if ever does King Cobra use ice or cold beverages in his drink combos. Additionally, King Cobra does not usually mix these combos very well, often letting the pouring of the drinks do the bulk of the mixing. Occasionally, Josh will use his wand to stir it around.

The first known instance of Josh making a drink combo occurred during one of his videos on the Gothickingcobra52 channel in his early years. In this video, he makes a “Cobra's Mist”; a combination of Blue Moon Belgian White Beer and Mountain Dew, poured gracefully in a Coor's Light beer glass.

This would be the first of many thousands of drink combinations in the coming years, as it would become a staple of Cobra's lifestyle and image. The next documented instance of Josh making a drink combo in the Gothickingcobra era was during a video in 2011 in which he announced he had a “facebook girlfriend.” He makes an unnamed drink combo composed of Arizona Tea, triple sec, tequila, Amaretto liqueur (which his refers to as “Armanto”), and Monster “import” energy drink.

Far from exhaustive due to the sheer number of different drink combos Josh has created over the years, these are few example of notable drink combos featured in his livestreams and shortform “drink combo” videos.
