The Highway of Life is the third album by KingCobraJFS, with a total runtime of 1:07:29. It was published in 2011 to iTunes during the gothickingcobra52 saga while Josh was unemployed.
Background and Production
The Highway of Life would begin production during 2011 shortly after the release of Darken Days, during the end of the gothickingcobra52 saga while Josh waited to leave for Job Corps. This era is particularly important to Josh, as this was the time he received his first real taste of YouTube fame with his initial viral video, “Fuck the mainstream”.
Music and Lyrics
As expected from much of Josh's very early work, the album is best described as what a child thinks heavy metal sounds like if they had never heard what heavy metal was before. Among other topics, Josh dedicates a track to his abusive stepmother, who he rants for an extended period over in the third-longest track of the album.

Reception
As is often the case for Josh's early work, The Highway of Life would release to middling-to-poor reception, with many new viewers getting a real taste for the Boy's musical talent, or lack thereof.
