Willows of Sorrow
Willows of Sorrow(Originally titled “Willows of Sarrow”) is the seventh album created by Josh “KingCobraJFS”, and was released June 26, 2016. Unlike many of his previous albums, Willows of Sorrow is extremely political - Most of the tracks have something to do with the artist's beliefs on recreational drugs, religion, and magic. The album clocks in at a massive 1:27:32, featuring 11 tracks of varying length and skill.
Background and Production
Willows of Sorrow originally began under the title “Willows of Sarrow”, as Josh's inability to write literally anything properly is a central focal point of his persona. Due to events surrounding and preceeding the album, it would be another two years before Josh would make another album.
Music and Lyrics
Much of the album covers the recreational use of Cannibis, as Josh had begun hanging out with the late Homeboy Scotty far more often at the time. As a result, the lyrics read like an extended regurgitation of various talking points pro-marijuanna lobbyists use, or to put it more simply, a hour-and-a-half-long rant video. Inexplicably, the “song” “King Cobra Wave” would return in this album - A 30-minute track that is literally just white noise and bloats the entire album.
