Josh and Job Corps
There were no uploads nor videos made during Josh's time at Job Corps and at times, Josh's reliability as a narrator has been questioned.
Josh attended Job Corps out of high school, and would state that the experience is very similar with the exception of being unable to leave and a meager wage. Josh would try his hand at computer tech, welding, bricklaying and painting specialties, before finally landing on office administration.
Keen to make sure that this experience would not be a repeat of the bullying that he had endured throughout his schooling, Josh made his impression by playing his guitar in the pool hall and performing at the talent shows. Despite his efforts, Josh would still be picked on for his eccentricities, however he would claim to enjoy a bad boy reputation and known as “that crazy Saunders kid”.
The Boxelder Job Corps, according to Josh, was haunted and he described numerous paranormal happenings. Josh backed up his theory by explaining how an alarm clock possessed of one of his roommates that lead to another student being punched and the alarm clock being hurled across the room, and describing an incident where a folding basketball hoop collapsed and a bike fell off of a storage rack.
While in Job Corps, Josh met his first girlfriend Stephanie and the two would start dating shortly there after. The couple attended Job Corps prom together—Josh's first ever prom. They would continue dating after Josh's expulsion from Job Corps, with Stephanie visiting him and her family on her breaks before graduating from the program. The couple would break up on July 4th, 2014.
Big trouble in little Job Corps
Josh had a number of incidents that landed him in hot water while at Job Corps, both with administration and with his fellow attendees. In videos he uploaded after being kicked out of Job Corps, Josh would recall some stories of mischief including:
- Stealing Mr. Slater's bicycle after a night of huffing cologne and dancing
- Intervening in a dispute over debts owed for cigarettes
- Pleasuring himself with a grapefruit
- Smoking weed/using drugs/huffing art supplies
- Having intercourse in a women's restroom
Josh would be kicked out of Job Corps after his Jacket Leader—and alleged stoner—told on him for his weed habit. Josh would be upset at the apparent hypocrisy.
Despite his anger towards the situation, Josh would try to appeal his expulsion and encouraged Stephanie to finish her studies.
