Good Fine afternoon fellow YouTubers. So there is a video on Rock Feed. That's the name of the YouTube channel. A shout out to Rock Feed. In fact, I'm going to subscribe to their channel right now. Boom. It's subscribe to their channel right now. Boom! It's good to support channels like this on YouTube because they keep you up to date on your favorite artists. Now, Mike Tranda on Lincoln Park, how are are we gonna play one step closer Rock Feed okay that's the title of the video only give it us I want to smash that like button on the video oh all right I want to play about two minutes and 22 seconds of this year video for y'all real quick. We've of course talked about the future of Lincoln Park a few different times on this show. We continuously learn new information about what could be in the cards for the band. There's a few questions that we have and we're getting closer to sort of finding out the answer. One question would be, is Lincoln Park going to add a new vocalist? How do you replace Chester Mennington? Is that even possible? Is Lincoln Park going to continue to perform? Are they only going to release original music? Or are they going to choose to do nothing at all? The band has been understandably taking their time through the succeedingly difficult process and figuring things out and realizing, you know, talking about how they're going to make things work. And in a new interview with Beats-one, Mike Shinota really cleared the air about what the future of Lincoln Park might be holding and even talked about how the band, you know, they're not able to play songs like One Step Closer where the vocals from Chester are just so high ranging and you've got the dueling trading off vocals. That's an iconic song from the band. But here's Mike Shinota talking, I would say more in depth than we've heard him about the future of Lincoln Park.. You know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, I got texts, I got texts, I got texts, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a here's Mike Shinota talking, I would say more in depth than we've heard him about the future of Lincoln Park. I mean, we talk, you know, I get texts and calls from the guys like emails and stuff from from everybody every couple days or so. Do you think you'll carry on? I mean, have you had that discussion as honest as that? We have a lot of questions to answer in terms of how to do that, in terms of how to how to do that. Like it'd be one thing like we said hey do you want to go to the studio and just write some new stuff that's like the easiest thing in the world. Yeah we can do that. But then what happens after that? You know like that's the part where it's like a big question mark. Like I don't want to get out on stage and if it's just the five of us how are we going to play one step closer you know what I mean, if it's just a five of us, like, there's certain songs that I feel like I want the fans, the fans are going to want to hear and I want to play, and I don't know how to do that, right? So, and of course, some people will say, well, just bring another, bring some other person in. It's like, yeah, that's a nice number one, nobody has a voice like Chester. So that's a huge hurdle. And maybe it's not a person. Maybe it's a combination of things. I don't know what it is. And this is all just me talking. If you talk to Brad, if you talk to Dave, Rob, Joe, like you probably get other ideas and other. Because it's, the other part of it by the other part of it by the way is just you have to go on tour with the person like what if they're just a person my gut tells me that by doing the solo record by being out there out on festivals out on shows in the world you know in the world it affords me a greater chance that I will figure those things out naturally now there's a couple things that Mike you notice said here that I want to hit on really quick. Okay, I went past my two minute and 22 second mark, but that's all right. Yeah, One Step Closer by Lincoln Park is a good song, YouTube, and no one can replace Chester Bennington. That's just a fact of life. You know, he was a one-of-a-kind musician. But when people say, well, no one will sound like Chester, you know, I tend to think, okay, no one can sound exactly like Chester, but there are some of us who can come pretty damn close to pulling a good Chester. So, hoping that YouTube doesn't copyright infringe my ass, I won't even monitorize the video. I'll get full credit to the song in the description. And we'll see what happens when I upload it. I mean if I get a copyright strike again it is what it is you know working on my staff right there you see it in the background. Okay. Now this isn't no disrespect to Chester Lincoln Park or anyone really is you know. But at the same time as a musician when someone says, well no one can sound like Chester. That's why I'm like, that's when I'm like, challenge accepted. So, hashtag, fuck suicide, straight up. This put Lincoln Park in a understandably difficult situation. They have to plan things, they have to, you know, there's a bunch of things they have to do. Now that, that thing happens, so… One step closer with lyrics. I might even try bouncing back and forth between the two vocalists, which may end up me not finishing one word all the way through, but still matching it on pitch. Or at least trying to. I mean, you know. I mean I consider myself to be a good singer but that's debatable to some people. So, one step closer belongs to Lincoln Park, no copyright infringement. post a video of yourself singing the same song and that somehow that's copyright infringement when the audio is still being played on YouTube for free in both scenarios so I don't quite understand how is it not copyright infringement when someone's posting a video playing the song and just a lyric video right but it's somehow copyright infringement when the same song gets played in the same song and just a lyric video right but it's somehow copyright infringement when the same song gets played on the video but doesn't have lyrics with it like that's that's a great area for me I'm trying to figure this out and logically I don't know YouTube. But, I'm gonna do this song real quick. I cannot take this anymore. I cannot take this anymore. Everything I've said before, all these words, they made no sense. I find bliss in ignorance, bless I am, bless you, say you'll find out anyway. Just like before. Everything you said I've done push her to the edge, I'm about and ignorance. Nothing to go away. I feel like a little too brave. In the watch, step, puzzle to the edge. Now I'm about to break. I find the answers so clear. I'm about to break. I find bliss and ignorance. Nothing seems to go away. Over and over again. Just like before. Everything you said to me… I'm not going to break. I'm about to break. He's a little man. I'm a watch down closer to the edge. I'm about to break. I mean, I'm a little bit too break. So, one step closer to the end. And I'm about to break. Shut up, we're not talking to you! Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! We're not talking to you! Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! Come off! I'm on the break. I'm on the one step push into the edge. I'm about to break. I'm on the other one step push into the edge. I'm about to break. I'm about to break. With the one step push into the edge. Now I'm about to break. I mean, I don't want to break. I've got to break. I'm going to break. I started that last word a little too early, but I'm gonna nail that shit. We do something a little bit more slow-paced. We also have numb, which I'll give credit to in the in the description box. So one last song. it's national small bit. I'm tired of being what you want me to be, feeling so faithless, under the surface, don't know what you're expecting of me, but under the pressure of walking in your shoes. Every step that I take is another mistake to you. I've become so numb, I can't feel you there. I've become so tired, so much more aware, I've become more aware, I've become make me, I've become so tired, so much more aware, I've become making this. All I want to do is be more like me and be less like you. Can you see that you're smothering me? Oh holding too tightly, free to lose control, because everything that you thought I would be is falling apart right in front of you. You've got the other toe, just got any on the toe. Every step that I take is now a mistake to you. Caught the me, the other toe, just,, and every second I waste is more than I can say. I've become so known. I can't feel you there. I've become so tired, so much more aware. I'm becoming this. All I want to do is be more like me. We last like you. And I know you were just like me with someone disappointed in you. I've become so numb. I've become so numb. I become so numb. I can't feel you there. I've become so no I can't feel you there. I've become so tired, so much more aware, I've become in this. All I want you to do is be more like me, and be less like I've become so no. I can't feel you there. Try to be what you want me to be. I've become so no. I can't be using it. It could be what you want me to be. Glorious YouTube glorious I might have been off pitch a little bit here and there but that's pretty damn close But yeah, there's King Cobra singing some Lincoln Park, singing One Step Closer and… numb. So hopefully… YouTube doesn't try any stupid shit with the copyright infringement strikes or anything like that. Hopefully the audio doesn't get silenced. If it does, then it is what it is. But even if you're not a famous musician, you can just see what kind of effect suicide has on the people around you. You know. Like, Chester could have been doing Lincoln Park and touring and all that good stuff. Well into his 70s and 60s, you know. He could have been telling his great-grandchildren about how awesome the experience was. The millions of fans, you know. I mean it was just so unexpected it was like damn dude. Anyways, this is King Cobra JFS back at you with another video. Thank you for watching. Catch you cool cobras on the flip side.
