Original Video: trouble with garage band

What's good YouTube? I got you on my phone camera right now. I'm in the process of uploading a video to YouTube, so that'll upload when it uploads. In the video I talk about overpriced jeans and how stupid it is to waste money on something you could make yourself at home with a regular pair of jeans. Anyway, if you look right here, you see I have garage band pulled up. What you're looking at is the song Legends Never Die. It's the first song on my newest album, and my new album is entitled, Trails of the Abyss. Now here's the problem I'm having. The song ends at six minutes and 40 seconds. But when I click send a song to iTunes, and iTunes receives it literally it says on iTunes it'll add like an extra ten to fifteen seconds to it so every time i go to upload the damn song to my iTunes library it's saying the song is six minutes and fifty three seconds long when you look right here at the corner of the screen there's a little arrow that you click and you drag it and that is where you can end your song so to speak yet it adds an extra 10 to 15 seconds to it I don't know why it's doing this but honestly I don't want an album where every song has 10 to 15 seconds of silence. That's just added to it at the end. You know what I'm saying? Like, that's just, no. No. No……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….. Right now I'm still sitting on my acoustic guitar case for our seats but hopefully we can get hopefully I can get a new chair here soon. Yeah. If I can't find a good chair at Walmart more than likely, you know if I go to thrift stores, they're more than likely, we'll have something that I'm looking for. Yeah. But yeah, that chair of mine, it had too many holes in it, and stuffing was falling out everywhere, and it got to the point where it was just unfixible and I had to throw it away. I didn't want to because I really like that share. I've had it for a number of years and it was super comfortable to sit in. But when I'm trying to keep my apartment clean and… And every time I sit down in the chair it would be spitting stuffing all over the place. I'm like, no, I just, no, no, no, no, no, no. So I don't know what to do here with this garage band issue because, like literally, I click and I drag it so that the song ends when it's supposed to and I'll show you what happens here. We go over to share. and song to iTunes which will put this song in my iTunes library so when I go to upload it to the internet it'll be on my iTunes library that will make everything much much much easier show right here it says title artist composer album iTunes playlist so it has the date in the time in which it was supposedly created get all okay delete the date in the time so it says legends never die artist kinkovera composer Josh Shonders album trails of the abyss iTunes playlist trails of the abyss album, Trails of the Abyss. iTunes playlist, Trails of the Abyss, that all looks good, okay, so I hit Share. And what it'll do is it'll start from the beginning. And you see the little bar moving right there. Okay. bar moving at the spot I have the song and when that bar stops moving at the spot I have the song stopped at the very very very very watch. watch. watch. The bar stops moving. I have the song stopped at which is at the very very end watch this watch this YouTube and watch that bar keep moving This is like the newest version right here. This is the newest version of garage band. It's pretty advanced. And it's also incredibly touchy when it comes to certain actions that you do on the program. The program itself is very sensitive. So, yeah. But the new garage band, I must say the new garage band. So, yeah. But the new garage band, I must say the new garage band, I like it, you know. I've always been a fan of garage band ever since I discovered it's for myself. It is a fun program to record my music in and stuff, you know what I'm saying? But, um………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… and stuff you know what I'm saying but um yeah okay watching it as that little bar right there moves that's processing the entire song watch what it gets to the end watch when it stops right here you watch it stops right here you watch it right there literally it stops and it's a little bit past it's a little bit past it right there it stops okay literally it stops and it scans a little bit past it but that's it okay and then we wait for it go into iTunes here right there see that on a second go into iTunes here right there see that hold on a second see that six minutes 53 seconds no god damn it no this is really starting to irritate me a little bit here so I'm not sure how to fucking fix this is really starting to irritate me a little bit here. I'm not sure how to fucking fix this. You know? There doesn't appear to be a button to logically explain why or anything. There doesn't appear to be anything to logically explain why this is happening. Um… happening. Um,………. three or four seconds after a song before the next one begins. I get that. But if I'm ending the song at six minutes and 39 seconds or six minutes and 40 seconds and and it's giving me an extra 10 to 15 seconds of silence, that's too much you know. So like I don't know what to do here. Like, I really do not know what to fucking do here. I'm at a loss. For words. I tried everything that I could think of to make it so that it ends when it's supposed to. And uh… Well, when my, um… Mouse button goes over right there, you can… You see right there… You see right here… where the error right there. Okay. Now when I click on… Oh no. Oh, scooch up here, sorry about that. Okay, watch what happens when I click this arrow. You see that? If you look down here, you can see where it's supposedly start and ends the track. that and then hit upload I don't know if that makes much of a difference, but It can try at least Um song to iTunes Legend has never died. Shirts, song, dry, tunes, Shirts, song, dry tunes. Okay, so we'll sit here. And we'll wait for a second. minutes and 53 seconds after I clearly dragged the end of the song to the end of it basically then I don't know what to do you know because this is this is getting frustrating I got seven more songs to make for the eighth album and you know I'm not going to sit here and keep fucking with this thing because I got seven more songs to do for the album. And I don't want to be sitting here for the next 10 years trying to figure out why the fuck garage bands not doing what it's supposed to be doing. Or why the fuck iTunes is not doing what's supposed to be doing. It's one of the two. So, well I guess I'll see what it does when it hits, um, when the grand scheme of things it could be worse. But at the same time, this is rather frustrating when I'm trying to end the song at 6 minutes and 40 seconds and it's saying the song ends at 6 minutes and 53 seconds. That's literally 13 seconds of unneeded silence. You know, like, uh-uh. When I click the song arrow that clearly shows the ending of it, and yeah it's saying there's more seconds than there needs to be, I literally, I don't get it YouTube, you know, I don't. Again with this crap. God damn it, you too, minutes and 53 seconds when I clearly… Okay, hold on a second. All the fuck on. I think if I… I really don't understand it, YouTube. It's… If it says that little arrow that I click and drag is the songs and in start arrow, like I don't understand this at all. This is, this is… Don't get me wrong, the song itself is pretty cool, I like the way Legends Never Die turned out. But… But… I just… I don't know, man. I really don't fucking know anymore. more. Is there a way to make it so let it? I just I don't understand it God damn it! I'm Because there was a song. I have never truly done. I agree. I don't understand why it's doing this at all. I'm at that point where I'm just like I'm done fussing with it. I just want to get down to my fucking iTunes library so I can move on to the Seven Songs that follow it. Yeah, that's my other bike that I'm going to customize for a friend of mine. But, um, you see that chopper bike over there in the shadows that that one's mine So I guess I'll just upload it to my fucking iTunes and… Man. If it's got a couple extra seconds of silence, I apologize for that. I had no control over this, you know. All I'm doing is trying to produce a quality sounding album here, you know what I'm saying? So I guess I'll just upload the fucking song as is and if it says six minutes and 53 seconds then fuck it you know what I'm saying like I'm done messing with it I'm done with it pissing me off I got seven more fucking songs to make for this album and I don't want to be delayed on my creative process because of some bullshit so I guess we'll upload it to my iTunes then How many times have I done this? I lost count. I'll fuck with it and fuck with it and fuck with it and fuck with it and fuck with it some more. And it keeps up coming up as what it is and it's like damn it man and I'm at that point where I'm just like you know what fuck it I got seven more songs to do here so I don't I guess if it's a little bit longer fuck it you know what I'm saying? Okay, back to iTunes. All right, so yep, it did it again. It was like six minutes. All right, so, yep, it did it again. It was like six minutes and 53 seconds. like six minutes and 53 seconds which damn it that does suck but at the same time not a whole where I can do about it for the 8th album and tomorrow when I'm on keeper cast I'll be playing the song live when they interview me so if you want to catch me talking about the song live on keeper cast be sure you tune in to watch that that'll be about five o'clock my time so yeah Okay.
