The Summer Saga is one of the notable periods in the life of Josh Saunders, also known as KingCobraJFS, whose interactions with various individuals like Summer and Stephanie, play out dramatically over social media and have cultivated a notable following. This article examines the roles of Summer and Stephanie, interconnected through Josh's complex social relationships and their portrayal in online reenactments. This is currently the shortest saga of Boglim History, clocking in at only two months: November 9th, 2017 to December 20th of 2017.
Initially, Summer's integration into Josh’s circle through Jeremy seemed to be social, but her presence quickly escalated into personal involvements. The saga highlights numerous incidents involving accusations, jealousy, and overt confrontation, often mediated via online interactions and live streams. Summer and Josh were introduced by Jeremy in a context that was initially friendly. However, the dynamics shifted as Summer became a significant other. Their relationship’s visibility on Josh's channels turned into a spectacle that drew mixed reactions from the viewer base.
Josh's inability to keep a secret would once again manifest itself when on November 9, 2017, he would announce the end of his current Dry Spell via Facebook. Although a gentlemen doesn't kiss and tell, Josh would all but name Summer nearly instantly when he made another Facebook post tagging Summer, saying he had made it home safely. Fans quickly put two and two together, and it wasn't long before Summer was known to the Cobraverse.
Days after Josh broke his curse, he would upload a video once again putting down his ex Stephanie via Facebook livestream after discovering she had been talking about him poorly and behind his back. Josh would retaliate violently, calling her out on her alleged gold digger status, her daddy issues, her untrustworthy nature, and numerous comments on her polyamorous relationship she had with Damien and Megan. It is worth noting at this point that Stephanie and Josh had been separated for over three and a half years.
This video would start an internet slapfight between Josh and Stephanie. Much like Josh, Stephanie would be furious that Josh lacked the moral fiber to say it to her face, and that he was stuck in the past. The digital nature of Josh’s life meant many confrontations and were aired publicly. Notably, Stephanie’s accusations against Josh were aired out publicly, leading to a significant amount of online backlash and further complicating their interactions. Josh would claim that someone had showed up at Josh's workplace(The Office Bar and Grill) to fight him, but he had not been working that day.
As the backlash had gotten worse than expected, Stephanie would upload a video to YouTube titled “My side if things”. In the video, Stephanie would speak about her side of the breakup and the drama surrounding Josh's comments, saying that she was doing much better now.
Throughout her time with Josh, Summer faced numerous challenges, from public scrutiny by Josh's audience to personal dilemmas involving mutual acquaintances, namely Scrapper Steve, who was reportedly keen on starting romantic undertakings with her, complicating the existing tensions. The reasoning? Steve and Summer were both furries. Although Steve would insinuate that he was attempting to start a fursuit business with Summer, he would admit to attempting to go on a date with her.
Coming to his friend's defense, the late Homeboy Scotty would trick Steve into admitting his true feelings about Summer. Hosting numerous livestreams, Scotty would allege that “Steve tried to get with Summer”. Going live via Facebook, Scotty would break the news to Josh much to the Boy's dismay. Scotty would continue to call out Scrapper Steve via his stream. The betrayal hitting hard, Scotty would continue to allege Steve's less than savory actions via livestream.
Steve would attempt to damage control by saying Summer felt forced into sex with Josh, and that his hygiene was awful(Which is true), and saving Summer from a toxic relationship. Steve would announce his intention to confront Josh on these matters, and deny any interest in dating Summer.
Josh would go live a few days later, threatening to report Steve to the authorities for bestiality, as Steve was a zoohpile. Josh would disclose more accusations about the Summer/Steve relationship during this stream, and on a later stream Josh would have a stream where Summer would tattoo the letters “OZZY” onto Josh's knuckles.
The breaking point for Josh's relationship with Steve would be when Steve invited Josh over for drinks, under the impression that Josh would buy them both alcohol. This would be the last straw for Josh, and Steve would become a permanent Trole in the Cobraverse. In the weeks to come, Josh's streams would devolve into bitter tirades featuring Steve and bizarrely, Stephanie again.
Josh would attempt to have a cease-fire of shit-talking each other, which Steve would concede to under one condition: Homeboy Scotty would have to delete the video he had of Steve fucking an inflatable goat(A video Steve had unknowingly left on a computer he sold to Scotty). Josh would refuse to these conditions. The video would be uploaded by Scotty regardless.
In spite of this, Steve would attempt to patch up affairs once more with help of his brother, and Josh would once again attempt to bury the hatchet with Steve. Not much longer after this, Summer would start to distance herself from Josh, only to disappear from his life entirely, possibly due to his hand tattoos fading and falling out, possibly due to the return of Sicko Steve, possibly because Josh just fucking stinks.
In December, Josh would rekindle his relationship with Summer, and they would exchange gifts over Christmas. Summer would get a supposedly vintage Pokemon blanket Josh had gotten from scotty, but Josh would be gifted an autographed picture of none other than his idol, Ozzy Osbourne. Streaming many times a day to his handful of Facebook fans, Josh would have a slight beef with Cobraverse follower AnonymousCasperWY for uploading all of his Facebook streams for the public to view. Trolls would continue to harass Summer, who was becoming fed up with the attention. This would culminate in trolls sending Summer a badly shopped photo of Josh having anal sex with a gigolo. However, the straw that broke the camel's back would occur when Summer's Facebook would get hacked, and a troll would delete every video of Summer's only child while posting troll comments on said child. Summer would break up with Josh the same day as one of Josh's favorite YouTubers, the Angry Grandpa, would pass away. This would DEVASTATE Josh, and put him into a downward spiral. However, it wasn't completely over - On the 14th of December, Josh would announce that he had moved back up to a full-time job, and once again announce that he was done with sex and companionship, again. Catching a 30-day Facebook ban, Josh would officially end the Summer Saga and begin The Wandmaker Saga shortly afterward.
Post their initial association, Josh and Summer have seemingly moved on, with sporadic mentions and appearances in streams that suggest a continued, albeit complex, connection. Summer was last noted for her potential desire to re-enter Josh's life, but this was during a period where Josh decided to take a step back from active dating.
The Summer Saga serves as a marked phase in Josh Saunders' online chronicles, encapsulating elements of personal drama, community interaction, and the potent influence of social media in the personal domain. It is a reflection of modern relationship dynamics, viewed through the lens of online celebrity culture, deeply impacted by audience engagement and digital exposition.
