Crack a lack in YouTube, just laying down some track for my next song. And uploading a seriously long vocal cover video, so I made the smart ass comment in one of my videos. Oh, Cobour seems oddly coherent in this video. Okay, you smart ass. Here's a video for me from the other night drinking half a bottle of tequila and singing about an hour's worth almost of vocal covers. And just rocking out and showing off my sexy voice. Now granted if YouTube lets it slide, then that's going to make for one kick-ass video. What if YouTube says, well, you played too many copyrighted songs, we gonna have to silence your video well shit it is what it is that's the YouTube game unfortunately I got this thing out for some reason. I'm I mean like, really fast. Hmm. Wish that's not too bad. Oh, you want to see something really cool on the guitar? Oh, you want to see something really cool on the guitar. How cool is that? Now it's kind of an accidental discovery. That's how I've learned guitar these last couple of years, just playing the thing, yeah. Yeah. I'm sorry. the I'm There are a lot of guitar. It's a wonderful instrument. It really is. Yeah. I'm Now if you want to get this good a guitar YouTube it takes dedication and practice you're not going to get dedication and practice you're not going to get this good overnight. You have to learn your a Apegios, your scales. You know what I'm saying? Like if you take one scale and then you apply it to other strings and other sections. See what I'm saying? That's sweet picking. You want to use the point of your pick? Kind of… Yeah, I'll skip picking his phone. It's the thing that everyone wants to learn on guitar, right? And then sometimes you go to the sweep and then that string. And then sometimes you go to sweep and then that string gets caught right underneath your fret. And it sounds like that. So you're getting into it or shredding, you're like, yeah man, it's rough this shit. Yeah, that can happen when you're playing guitars, so track, you know, I mean like your string band, you always want to go. Like, on the upper strings, but if you bet it too far this way it's going to get, you know, if your threats are sharp enough if you know that. I'm I mean once you take like your basic three string of Peggio you learn it like so you learn it way up here one finger at a time do do do do do do do do I want your Eddie Van Halen double hand tapping that's real easy so about their rhythm? Hammer, slide, slide. So take your finger, you hit it. Just… You practice doing that. You practice doing that for a bit. It's not very fun. You practice.. You practice doing that for a bit. It's not very fun but then you add some variation to it. You slide it. What happens when you slide with your third finger while keeping your pointer in place of the root note? You get your hammer on. Now if you do it fast enough tricks on acoustic if if that's all you have. It works. By the time you get an electric guitar and you've done it so good on the acoustic you can actually hear it, you're gonna fucking sound like a boss on the electric that's no lie. The age-old guitar myth practice on the acoustic will make you better at the electric. It's true. Because with acoustic guitar you actually have to work at forming the notes You can't just rely on a distortion to hide your mistakes You know what I'm saying? so if the note sounds like crap, it's gonna sound like crap. You know I can turn the volume off and Now what if I turn the volume off and turn the input volume all the way up so you actually hear it without the amp? Because some people are going to say you're just using distortion to hijay your mistakes. Well, that's also a great way to practice playing the guitar. Get real close to the camera here. Yeah. Turn the input volume back down, now I can turn the amp back on. But you take one scale that you learn down here and then you can apply it down here, down here, down all the way up and then eventually you work on doing that scale three strings above the first three. So if you're going to be doing scales on like the guitar like the shredding and all that you want to start off with like three scales And then eventually work your way up to four and then five and six To the guitar back up to standard just for a second the Now if you want to learn the Harry Potter theme song like that? You're going to take two strings. Now when you plug the first two strings on your bottom you already notice you've got your base notes for the headwicks theme. I take your pointer finger and your middle finger One two there's the first two notes third note fourth note fifth note really take your finger and then you switch your pointer finger over to that note point your finger over to that note. Now you go up like five threats and you use your third finger. I never go back down to that second note. Cool. And then you like a little straight slide. So, drum it. And then if you repeat the steps. I'm right about there. I'm ahead of myself. There's an opening to it and then you want to repeat. That's kind of basic, it's basic. That's kind of basic, it's basic. It's not like a… That's kind of… It's basic. It's not like a super fancy version, but it'll get you by. It's not like a super fancy version but it'll get you by. I mean you play it and people are going to recognize it obviously. I'm Yeah, there we go. You want, you know, you want, you know, it's, you're playing that, see. You're playing that, see. You play around with it, we got one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen. Okay, so you want between thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, like thirteen, six, seven, and years. You know what I'm saying? I mean you play around with it eventually you'll figure out, you know, it's just… That's a guitar man, you figure it out. I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I'm a- I mean, I'm a- I'm That's not easy that was to change. Spooky tuning sounds cool. That's not easy that was to change. Spooky tuning sounds cool, It's got a nice variety of things you can do with it. However, it only takes two strings to change. It's not that complicated. I got nice and warmed up on the guitar. So let's see if we can throw something cool for the garage band. Yeah. I'm I definitely want this tuning for it. But, but, but, but, But, um, I'll have to do the soloing and everything separates so I can like click and paste and, you know, cut and what have you. It's a very tedious process. I mean, this is why a recording studio is such a much bigger preference because all you gotta do is sit in the booth and record. Everyone, someone else will do the rest, you know. So that makes the musicians a little bit easier you do. I love the sound of an electric guitar. this is just a marvelous sound, it really is. And here's the thing of it, YouTube. You want to get this good a guitar? It takes dedication, man. You're not going to get this good overnight, yo. You're not. You know. And guitar could be a lot of fun once you learn how to play a couple songs, you know, do a couple scales. You get good enough to show off for a crowd for a crowd a songs, you know, do a couple scales. You get good enough to show off for a crowd a bit, you know. But, um…
