Original Video: wrapping wand handles

What's up tobs? getting handles wrapped for my next batch of wands on Etsy. I got a spool of leather and and it'll go far. There's a reason why my Etsy business is taking off. I'm getting a couple handles wrapped off camera quickly. And as I'm sitting here wrapping the handles on them, one of the wands moved while I was wrapping the handle on it and it was in the pile in front of me here on my desk. Which… I don't know how explain that but that's magic if I would have had a camera pointed on it that would have been sick I can't honestly say how I do that shit sometimes but it's cool. Each time I'm tying that weather entirely tight knot. I'm tucking the… That just bit of the string right here. Just put it on the string right here to stick and tightly looping it around to create the guard for it right there. Oh shit. A spool of leather fell on The trick is to wrap your handle as tight as you can around your water, whatever color you want, wrapped nice and tight, and tie that flound knot right there. This part's tricky because that leather likes to move around. I cannot let these handles go undone. However, when I got back, the paint was dry. I did not let these handles go undone. No bullshit. And when I said I didn't mean that like that's cool. And some of these are on pretty quick, because, you know, people are saying, oh crap, he's got more too, but they sell quick. And as an added bonus, all the tips on these wands glow in the dark. That's the cool thing about it. I got one one that's all glow in the dark. It's all wall in the dark. Some people get it like, okay, that's kind of cool. Some people, they judge you. That's the problem with our society anymore as we live in a society of judgmental fuckheads. And I've had people try to fuck with my wan business before. And it hasn't worked, it's still doing quite well and it's just that I've had trolls mess with my place of work many times before started my own business so I was like that's not fair to the companies I work for so that's why I started my own business, YouTube. I can't tell you how many times people have said about how much do you charge for your wands? People would see me make them on YouTube, but I'm like, okay, I'm on the house to charge. I should have been my first clue to be like, all right, you need to, uh, let's start making any and making these and selling them. It just shows that people are genuinely interested in magic. Once you've got the first dot-tide, you wrap it around right there a couple of times, you've got the hand garb established. You start. You want to hold it as tight as you can without breaking it and you wrap it around the handle of your wand as tight as you can. the weather, different colors of weather, different colors of copper wire, different colors of juling wire, what have you. And then let the haters talk shit, dude. Like, that's just what they do, you know. freak out. I didn't like the way it looked. It was just one of those things where I'm like, bro, it's just, no, this has got to be done differently. Make sure there's no loose slippers. The trolls tried messing up my one business. I told them, please take your satire somewhere else. I'm trying to run a professional business. So I can do it these assholes. Yeah, that's looking nice. Now I find the knot where it's tied at the last knot or am hand do a dab of glue right there in the middle. This is the glue that I use. And I glue that knot so that way it stays in place and it doesn't move around. Whatever I use for the handle, be it leather, copper, or whatever, it's sealed tight. So, yeah, I'll be doing a vegetable burger with bacon on my channel next. I think that's some crazy shit, isn't it? Better believe it. I like to drop bomb-ass cooking videos every now and then and not not make any for a while. It keeps the fans hungry for my next crazy idea. You know what I'm not doing them all the time. This one's yellow and you can see the natural green in it. That's kind of cool. And like I said the tips on all these glow in the dark. There's different options. Anywhere else you're going to find a handcrafts with wand. $24. This is a wand replica that I customized. and I've seen these wand replicas go for $40. So if I got a mini laid and laid a shape like this out, then I would have to charge 50 bucks because that's handmade price. But these sanded by hand doesn't require as much, not as dangerous, you know, kind of deal. Real ones at an affordable price, that's what I've sold. And people like it because it's honest business. I'm actually in the process of getting my shipping. sold and people like it 12 day, but every other day, you know, by the end of it, what have you. Or as they get ordered, that same day they get boxed out in by time, all the orders are fulfilled. Oh, the tubes that we done, just get all shipped, you know. There is a two week processing fee just because it's a lot of addresses to keep track of, even if it's like 12, you know, doing this one business is a lot harder than it looks. is a lot harder than it looks. Once the knot, that final knot is on there nice and tight on that leather, put a dab of glue on there and let it dry. Pretty straightforward. $30, $40 for the wand replicas because concerned as are these wands but of course you'll get other one colors that are more feminine and defiant I guess I've had a couple of my female fans go when you're gonna make more pink wands and I'm like something to think about. That's what it's about with your business is expanding, you know, to a wider audience. It takes a while to charge it, but if you leave the tip of your wand exposed this particular wand, or any of these wands, with the glow at our tip exposed to light, either some lights or fluorescent lighting or some sorts, throw on enough period eventually it will glow. A lot of people have made these comments saying it doesn't work what have you and I'm like well it's because you're not doing it right. I cannot make these wands any faster than I can't make these w wants any faster than I can sell them but every time I make it back. It seems to me pretty quickly so I guess I can't complain on that. But let me tell you something about technology. It pisses people off and it makes us lazy or it's not sure all the time but I'm just saying sometimes it's… We live in a society where people judge everyone else and it's just like ugh. You know, when you were on a business, the sooner you get it done, the better, I came home, the wands are dry on the paints. Each one of them is uniquely different. It's got some shapes. They're not all perfectly carved out like some wand replica, which is why I'll charge. As much. Could I get him to look more like that? Yes, I could, but it would take a lot more standing if I didn't have a minulate. And if I had a minulate, I would charge more because it's just how it is. That's fair price. It might take a minute to get this last couple of three to four here done, but But, yeah. I actually like making loans for a living, so I can't say I'm complaining. I'm getting them all lined up on my work badge as I wrap the handles here. I still have plenty of leather to wrap these last three. This one's red. And sometimes they get a natural bend to them and you look a little bit closer and I left the knots in there on purpose to give it a natural sort of look. Once you get the first knot started, wrap it as tightly as you can without breaking it. Which is all fun and dandy because I was just friendly competition as far as I'm concerned. You know, I take a look at what other wand makers are doing on Etsy. I think it weighs to improve my product. I have a set standard by what I do when I make my wands and what I want to look like what's done. I think to a degree doesn't have to look exactly all like, but there's just certain things. I do to it as a wand maker. Now if you want to have a successful career you have to work hard at it. So even I'm tired from here out my friends it's got to be done. is dry for a couple hours that way. The glue on them holds in place. I actually feel better when I temper enough to a point where I try to do it as often to not at all, basically. People could say, well, you're in areas and you have Aspergers, that's no excuse. Using the post office is rather expensive to ship my wands but it works. Keeps my business and works. Keeps my business and this ship worldwide. If you live internationally, Cobocraft handmade wands does these colors except I haven't done a teal or a pink wand and I haven't done them all with loaned art tips so finding a way to expand upon my product so that way they continue to sell. When you're wrapping the leather around it and it goes down and then comes back up and what have you and then pull as tightly as you can to the wand and then tuck that leather through and tie another knot at the top of your handble. Pull it down nice and tight. I don't have them in any particular order but that's definitely a good step to be a very very good step to be with those wands. I just put it up and catch a couple of zes. I saw a couple of logs. I know adults might talk a certain way but honestly younger audience shouldn't talk like an older audience. Now when you're done with your supplies, make sure you put the cat back on the top so your glue doesn't dry out. Put your pliers to the side because when that glue dries on those knots, I'll trim the excess off. And after I did the final step of pawning it, that's basically what they look like. Here's an example of one and I did. This one has a coarse crystal in the bottom of the handle. The style of what I thought we about making for Etsy. And it can be done. If you're going to make a crystal-d wand, you want to use real quartz. It makes it a lot sturdier in the long run and quartz crystals like this are really thick And the bigger one is what we call a scepter that I would sell for like a good $44 easy. And that's fair price considering that it's going to be a heavier wand, it's going to cost more ship, and materials to make it are going to be a bit more expensive. You know, that's just the thing. These wands dry. It's just about there. Try to get a general concept of what I want. The ones to look like as far as color. They're the basic area part of a handheld style one. If you're going to make a wand, get a lathe or sand them by hand, make them out of real sticks or blocks of wood. There's tons of videos how to lay the magic wand. You look it up on YouTube and you see people going on the wood laden. I got a couple of spots this year, tuning five, but I got the window. Man, I saw my summer's breeze coming through here. Turns out I didn't need a shot vacuum because the one I got now is just fine picking up the shavings and shit. I don't car from the wands. Yeah. I like making ones, you too. It keeps me out of trouble. I tell you what technology pissed me off more than people do tell you that I know. Because people just, you know, what's older it makes our lives easier but I think it makes us lazier and more frustrated to some extent. And now I have to give it a couple hours for all those wands to dry on the glue before I do the final step, which is the paging them. It's really easy.
