Original Video: How to smoke a pipe

What is up fellow YouTubeers? How the truck are you doing? So… I saw a video where subscribe to his channel, he does dip reviews and that sort of thing. But in a recent video he uploaded, he's smoking a tobacco pipe. And he's having a bit of trouble with keeping it lit and that sort of thing, so… I'm going to show you all how to do this. It's really easy. Make sure my pipes unclogged. I got two pipes I could use this one and this one but I'm going to use this one but I'm going to use this one just because it didn't matter which one you use but all right so poke that through dude outlaw bra get yourself one of these if you're gonna smoke a pipe these things are quite handy to have. They're not that expensive either. And not, I'm not just talking to Outlaw here, I'm also talking to like any person looking to smoke a pipe for the first time. You're going to give you some pointers here. Yeah.. Yeah. I have a little bit of burnt tobacco at the bottom of my bowl already. And most of you follow me on YouTube, know I'm an avid pipe smoker. But… Get all that cashed, gunk out of there. Yeah. Now here's the thing, here's the thing of it, YouTube. You can pack your tobacco too tight and when you pack your tobacco too tight then you got to dump it all out scrape it all out of the bowl and repack it so there we go got my pipe empty now I want to show you mother truckers how to do this right real easy you got your pipe tool and I noticed that's a Now I want to show you how to smoke a pipe and keep it lit. Really easy. You got your pipe tool. And I noticed that Outlaw used a cigar torch lighter. You can use those or you can use matches. I prefer your standard big lighter. It's a little bit easier. All right. So I want to show you how to smoke a pipe and keep it lit. Now the tobacco I'll be using is some Cherokee red pipe tobacco. I got this over at the Mills smoke shop and this is that cheaper pipe tobacco. I got this over at the Mills smoke shop and this is that cheaper pipe tobacco that smokes like cigarette tobacco and kind of tastes like it. But it doesn't matter what pipe tobacco you're using. The method is pretty much the same. First thing you want to do make sure you got your pipe and make sure you can draw on it before you First thing you want to do, make sure you got your pipe and make sure you can draw on it before you pack it. Now watch an outlaw smoke's pipe, you got the first bit of it right there. You take your tobacco and you're packing your bowl. Boom. This tobacco is a bit drier, so it's not as moist. I left it open on purpose to dry it out quicker. So once you got your tobacco in your you want you want to pack it too tight just pack it so it gets down in there a very loosely packed it's all right Very loosely packets. All right. There we go. Yeah. this some bitch going. All right. You got your pipe full of tobacco. Got your lighter. Holy that pipe get clogged but definitely make sure that your pipe is unclogged. I mean for tapping the tobacco down the rusty bolt works but There's reason why you have the tool the way it is. This is for stirring your bowl. You get an all that tobacco off the side when it burns. This is for stirring your bowl. You get all the tobacco off the side when it burns. This right here is for tapping it down when you get the charlat going. And then this right here is for scraping the tobacco ash out of your bowl. Pretty straightforward. Now if you pack your pipe too tight, you can take your poker and poke down in the middle of the bowl just like that. So it touches the bottom of the bowl and pull it back out. There we go I got draw excellent. All right so once your pipe is unclogged, of course if your pipe is brand new it's not going to be clogged up but I've had this pipe for a while. Beautiful. There's the draw I'm looking for. All right, so now we got draw. Like sipping through her straw as Outlaw put it. That's very true. What you want to do now is take you a lighter and you want to light it and you want to circle the tobacco like so. and take your tamper and push that tobacco that you just lit down into the bowl very gently of course yeah little video response take that that tamper and you want to kind of push that tamper and you want to push that tobacco that tobacco that tobacco that tobacco that tobacco that tobacco that tobacco that tobacco that that tobacco that tobacco that want to push that tobacco that you just lit down into the bowl. Because what's going to happen is you go to light your pipe, that tobacco is going to expand and push up like you just saw. And it pushed up over the edge of the bowl. Now actually got your charlight. Check to see if you still got to draw. Still got draw, excellent. and you want to circle the tobacco get an even light. And um… Yeah buddy. Shout out to Jesse Ryan USA who sent the mud jug. I still have it. Now one thing Outlaw asked was how do you keep it lit? Well with the pipe you have to continuously puff on it otherwise it's going to go out. I know you're not supposed to inhale pipe tobacco but I do it anyways. And that's the thing of it is there's no written rule on pipe smoking whether you're supposed to inhale or not. And, um, yeah. And, another tip, if you're going to get a corn cop pipe, you have to be careful because the bottom of it gets really hot. And you can actually poke a hole in your corn cop while smoking out of it on the bottom when it gets really hot and you can actually poke a hole in your corn cop or smoking out of it on the bottom when it gets real hot. I've had that happened to corn cop pipes before. They last for a couple months of good solid smoking and then the bottom gets hot and then I'm sitting there taking the pipe tool I'm scraping the ash out and then the pipe tool pokes through the bottom of it so that's something you want to be careful of but there are basically four different kinds of pipes this one is a rustic with a smooth finish you can see the smooth finish right there right there and right there the rustic is this this stuff right here unfinished. Then you got your smooth finished pipes like this one, this straight stem billiard. The finish is nice and smooth. And then you got your corn cob pipes, which are your heel billy, you know, country bumpkin type pipes, frosty the snowman type pipe, pop-eye the sailor man type pipe, you know. And then you got your mershaw pipes, which are very expensive and made out of a white stone called mershaw. Yeah. I don't have a mershaw pipe to show as an example or a corn cob, but you know what I'm talking about. If you do the research. So don't worry about if your pipe goes out, it's part of smoking, it's going to happen. It's got to keep that tobacco cake nice and even on the bowl there, give it a light. Just a very basic how-to smoke a pipe video. I got a lot of fans who are of age. I have a lot of fans who are of age smoke tobacco. And they see me smoking my pipe on camera all the time. And they're just like How do you get into that? and you don't have to use Cherokee red pipe tobacco. I got this because You can also get the pouches at your local cigar shop or you can order tobacco online at pipes and cigars.com. Pipe smoking can be very relaxing. It's a great hobby and you get plenty of tobacco to choose from. Way more options than cigarettes. Yeah. And don't be, if you're going to get into pipe smoking, you're going to get tongue bite. You puff it on your pipe. And then the tip of your tongue gets a little bit hot and you're like Yeah, don't worry about that. That's part you know Some pipe tobacco will give you tongue bite. It's not The worst feeling in the world, but It's a little weird feeling at first. Yeah How to smoke a pipe? It's really that easy. And now, the bowl is really hot from smoking. Here's a trick you can do to relight your pipe without having to use the wire. Let's see if I can get it to work. as you puff on it. And tobacco is bad for your health, so I don't encourage underage smokers. Wait till you're old enough to smoke. But yeah, that's how you smoke a pipe, pretty straightforward.
