Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, The Rebirth Saga is the era of Boglim History where Josh would attempt to rebirth himself as a rockstar youtube content creator, mostly by doing the same things he's always done: Food hacks, go live, eat spicy chip, and lie about sex dolls. This era would span from February of 2017 to November of 2017, which would promptly kick off The Summer Saga.
Characters Overview
Major Characters
- KingCobraJFS: Unbent, unbreakable, and coming unglued, Josh would return to content creation with a fresh set of eyes, re-realizing his dream of becoming the world's greatest rockstar bad BOY.
- KingKobraJFS: Not to be mistaken with the real deal, this gentleman would upload a series of Liquid Chris style videos to his own individual channel, claiming to be the original KingCobraJFS before his YouTube channel got deleted.
Minor Characters
- Alex Anderson: Alex would make a handful of appearances at this time, backing up Josh during the Second Serpent Mini-saga.
- Alex "Warlord" Campbell: The second Alex would make his presence known with an off-screen introduction to the Cobraverse, although it would be a tame beginning to a fiery end.
- Scrapper Steve: Steve would make a few appearances in this saga, including one where he would have a roundtable discussion about sickos with Josh, Warlord, and Alex Anderson.
Set up
Suddenly, in February of 2017, Josh would delete all videos from his YouTube channel. There are numerous theories as to what sparked this sudden destruction of several years of content - Josh is not unknown for flying into destructive rages over small inconveniences, after all. Furthermore, it is known that Josh had his passion for music reignited during his road trip to visit family over Christmas, and this may have been a way to abscond from the trivial matters of the past, and help push him towards his goal of becoming famous. Because of the sudden and bizarre nature of the aforementioned events, fans begin to speculate the true meaning behind Josh's removal of around 4 years of videos. This leads fans to notice that since “restarting” the channel, Josh has made no mention of his sex doll - as if none of it ever happened. This suggests that there may have been an intervention by Clint Saunders, or perhaps other outside influences.
Key Events
Not much of a "Rebirth"
After his return to YouTube, Josh would continue making his regular content without any difference apart from not referring to the sex doll escapades in any way, shape, or form. He would be plagued with a list of issues, including PhotoBooth(his video recording software) often sperging out on him. Apart from that, he would continue making questionable food reviews, and of course, uploading ol' reliable in KingCobraJFS' playbook: Shredding on his guitar. While this content was more of the same, his fans were sated by his uploads, as Josh's content was already arguably perfect. Also, Josh would start making more outdoor videos in this period, a genre of upload known for some of Josh's most famous moments.
Josh would also provide an update on his job search - confirming that over six months later, he has had a total of one job interview.
The Second Serpent Mini-saga
In a bizarre turn of events, a similarly black-clad, mustachioed, long-haired Casper lookalike would start uploading videos to his channel known as “KingKobraJFS”, claiming to be the true and honest version of the channel from his identical apartment. Imposter Josh would upload visually similar videos on visually similar topics to Josh with a slightly higher production value, making use of some poorly-made green screen magic, a forbidden art form in the Cobraverse. Renouncing Josh as an imposter and showing off his powerful magical skills, Imposter Josh would call out Real Josh as a fake, claiming Real Josh was stealing his identity and that all videos lost in the Rebirth Saga Purge were in fact his.
Josh would not take this insult sitting down, and would sit down to make a video in response to this supposed callout post. Calling Fake Josh an “imitator” and decreeing that Fake Josh would not stop him from making videos. Fake Josh would simply continue to make videos visually similar to Real Josh for a time, making such classics as “Deep fried doretto”, and “beating the troll in a spicy food”. Fake Josh would continue to risk the ire of the Cobra's Wrath, pretending to receive gifts from “Vaypour” like a Gibson Les Paul guitar, believing it to be a sex doll. He would finally push his luck too far by completing the Deep Fried Doritos challenge that Josh had failed. In response to a guitar shredding video made by Fake Josh, Real Josh would make a video shredding on his guitar, with Homeboy Alex Anderson showing up to cheerlead and spuriously claim to be related to both famous outlaw Jesse James, Hulk Hogan, and Adolf Hitler. In the same video, Josh would claim that his widow's peak was growing back(It wasn't). Alex would also return in a later video making some mildly racist remarks in regards to some fried chicken.
Attempting to goad Real Josh further into wrath, Fake Josh would do the Wendy's T-rex burger challenge - a challenge Real Josh had promised to do once he had reached 4000 subscribers, but never actually did. Real Josh would be unfazed, introducing new Homeboy and well recognized Boglim History major player: Alex "Warlord" Campbell. Ominously, Alex would make his first appearance on one of Cobra's birthdays: Although this was a rare case of a birthday going well for Josh, Warlord's first appearance in Josh's birthday video, even in name alone, clearly was an ill omen waiting to rear its ugly head.
Josh would finally have enough of the Fake Josh's attempts to steal his audience away, and would cast a powerful spell on Fake Josh, banishing him to an unlisted YouTube playlist. During a “Shawn and Saunders” segment on his channel, Fake Josh would suddenly devolve into a coughing fit, and scalp himself as the video glitched.
Fake Josh's curse on the Real Josh would reflect back onto him, his green screen failing, and Fake Josh would find himself with a wand in his own mouth, moments before Real Josh would splatter Fake Josh's brains all over his own precious green screen. Finally, the nightmare of the Second Serpent was over. In the end, there was only room for one King Cobra in Casper.
A tale of Two Alex', and other Homeboy antics
Warlord would continue to make appearances in Josh's videos, and generally would get on the nerves of Cobra fans: Warlord was a habitual liar, and generally annoying. In early April, Josh would also announce that Homeboy Scotty and his girlfriend Tina were expecting their first child, and Josh was to be its godfather. Hilariously, this would not stop Josh from smoking in Tina's presence, and spilling his monster on camera.
Josh would also make several unlisted videos at this time of him and various homeboys smoking weed, usually through a bong, at a time when weed was illegal in Wyoming. These videos would not see the light of day until 2020, when Josh privated and un-privated all of his videos, instantly premiering a ton of weed smoking videos at that time.
Although Warlord would continue to piss off Josh's fans and generally cause a disturbance on video, Josh's other fair-weather-homeboy Alex Anderson would regale the Cobraverse with stories and generally joke around. Also during one of these nightwalks with Homeboy Alex Anderson, Josh would make his beliefs on transgendered people known, making it clear he would misgender them regardless.
On April the 23rd, 2017, Josh would release a video “random topics and ranting about school lunches” where not only both Alex Anderson and Warlord would appear, but also 70 year-old drifter, Scrapper Steve. Steve and both Alexes would spend a fair bit of time buttering Josh up about how attractive he was, and talk about how much they hated sickos. In fact, Alex Anderson would recount a story of how he beat up a pedophile while he was in county jail, and would mention that he knew some people on the Registry.
Death of a legend
A few days later, Josh would announce the tragic passing of The Floral Throne, after he punched a hole in the top cushion during a sperg rage. Deciding it was unsalvageable, Josh would seek out a new throne for the time being, and would speak of this in his video “no more chair” where he would also say the famous line “I'm so good at guitar, it's a wonder I'm not swimming in pussy right now, just sayin'.”, followed by something that sounds like the ukulele player from SpongeBob SquarePants was having a seizure. Josh would sit on his guitar case until a week later when he would make the switch to The Black Executive, a gift from a friend.
Also during this time, Josh would start making appearances on KeeperCast, a small podcast where he would make a 20 dollar paycheck every time he showed up.
A new beginning?
Josh would announce on the 7th of may via Facebook that he had gotten a dishwashing job, and would start the next Tuesday. Josh would make a video about this new job with Warlord the same day, talking about the pay(10 dollars an hour) and how he would use the funds to get his shotgun fixed, “among other things”. He would mock his trolls for failing to keep him down, and would mention that Warlord had helped him get the job to begin with. Josh would also mention that getting a job meant that Homedad Clint would finally return Josh's debit card, possibly aware of Josh's poor spending habits.
It did not take long for fans and trolls to piece together his job's location - The Office Bar and Grill - mostly because Josh nearly immediately developed a crush on a waitress working there by the name of Dani, and having beef with the head chef, Melissa.
Josh would collect his first paycheck later that month, and immediately spend it on his typical vices. Making a video that same day, Warlord would steal the spotlight by coming across as particularly flamboyant, which somehow would segue into Josh reminiscing about the woman he cheated on during his relationship with Stephanie.
Rebirth of the rele King Kobra
Mid-2017, a dark miracle would happen: During a thunderstorm in Casper WY, KingKobraJFS, the imposter Josh, would rise from the grave to torment Josh once more. Fake Josh would even show up on KeeperCast, talking smack about Real Josh, once again calling him a fraud. In an attempt to prove that HE was the true and honest King Cobra, Real Josh would make a video with Alex Campbell, now christening himself Warlord for the first time, called “fuck you kingkobraJFS”. Josh would call Fake Josh “Delusional” and would attempt to prove his identity by having notable meth addict and convicted felon Warlord vouch for him. Josh would also claim that the waitresses at The Office preferred him over the dishwasher who had been there over a decade, another of Josh's many dubious claims.
After this video, Josh and Warlord would smoke some weed in an unlisted video.
